Dosage and Side Effects

Injections are administered deeply into the muscle. For adults, the recommended daily dose is 50 mg. Beginners are advised to initiate with 10 mg per week, gradually increasing to an optimal volume. A high protein diet is recommended during treatment.

Stanozolol may cause various disorders, including benign, malignant, and unspecified. In older individuals, common reactions involve hypertrophy and/or prostate cancer. Endocrine disorders may result in virilization in women, inhibition of ovarian function, and menstrual irregularities.

In prepubertal men, symptoms of virilization and skin hyperpigmentation might occur. It can also impact growth areas of tubular bones, leading to growth maintenance or cessation (pineal gland calcification). Post-pubertal men might experience gynecomastia.

Hematologic and lymphatic disorders might involve changes in the leukocyte formula or hypocoagulation with a tendency to bleed. Metabolic and nutritional issues include fluid retention, hypercalcemia, and potentially progressing atherosclerosis.

Infrequent liver function impairment with jaundice, musculoskeletal pain in long tubular bones, and rare post-pubertal bladder irritation are observed. Genital tract disorders, such as priapism, may also occur.

If any side effects not listed in this leaflet are observed, it's advisable to inform your doctor or pharmacist.
