Product Description
Testosterone enanthate, a long-acting ester, exhibits robust peaks post-injection and ensures a gradual, stable decline in levels. Metabolizing into pure testosterone, it mirrors identical actions.
Used in men to combat testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism), it addresses symptoms like impotence, infertility, low sexual desire, fatigue, depression, and bone loss. Being estrogenic, it might induce swelling.
Contraindications
- Allergy to testosterone or any of its components.
- Androgen-dependent cancers (prostate or breast).
- History of liver tumors or high blood calcium levels with malignant neoplasms.
- Previous heart attack or severe heart diseases, atherosclerosis, diabetes.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Not intended for use in individuals under 18 years.
Dosage and Side Effects
Administered intramuscularly at a slow rate, the initial treatment involves 250 mg of testosterone enanthate every 2-3 weeks for deficiency symptoms. Maintenance treatment comprises 250 mg every three to six weeks, adjusted based on individual needs.
Dosage adjustment is prescribed by the doctor, with lower doses recommended for older patients. Special caution must be taken to avoid inadvertent entry into a blood vessel during injection. Ampoule solutions can be reused if sealed hermetically after the first use.
Discontinuing Testosterone Enanthate may lead to testosterone deficiency symptoms. Side effects like acne and injection site pain are common. More frequent effects, affecting up to 1 in 10 individuals, include elevated red blood cell levels, weight gain, increased prostate-specific antigen, enlarged prostate size, and various injection site reactions.
